Energy Forecast Management
RGA Labs Metropolis is a forecasting management system capable of automating the data collection and generating forecasts, archiving forecasts and actuals, and providing detailed statistical analysis of forecasting accuracy. Metropolis is built using an open SQL architecture on Windows based workstations. It incorporates many modules executing asynchronously. While a 85% of the system is standard, each installation may require custom coding to meet the special needs of the client. Metropolis systems are typically deployed in the electric and gas utility companies.
PowerCast is for large energy trading groups which have a high risk profile. It uses multiple weather forecasts and load forecast methods. Several load forecasts are produces multiple times a day which allows users to understand the variance in the load forecast. The system provides forecasts for warm and cool weather tracks.
